Yutaka Kikutake Gallery is pleased to present “Youth,” a group exhibition of five artists from April 10 to June 19, 2021. Based on an original idea proposed by Yoshitomo Nara, artists of various ages and backgrounds come together to each present within the gallery the unfaltering sense of youth that they continue to embrace within their life and practice. Viewers are invited to witness the artists’ reflections of their youth, dreams, and love, as well as the powerful and driving force for expressing their own existence, and the chaos and order that is created through the liberated and eclectic imagination of those who do not find themselves incorporated into the social system.

In addition, a zine will be published as a concept book accompanying the exhibition, consisting of an anthology of thoughts, reflections, and expressions of “youth” by a selection of 15 diverse individuals including novelists, artists, curators, a high school student, gallerists, and office staff.
